Toronto G20 3rd Anniversary: While there is Misery, There will Always be Rebellion (Ver Castellano Abajo)

Three years have passed since the G20 Police State was imposed on Toronto, and you can still feel the ill-grained smell and colour of the city’s militarization. Police sirens still resound, cornering everyday people; keeping civility and order as those respectful of the pseudo-democracy/monarchy known as Canada. The Police State was enacted within everyone’s plain sight; a response was needed to dampen those that dared to defy authority, its jurisdiction, and thus shitted on their own laws. It was something that could not be allowed in the model society that is only designed to say “I’m sorry.”

As what always happens in these situations, the “valiant” soldiers come out to attack anyone that crosses their path with violent authority. Young and old, women and children, even animals got a whiff of the repression during those days.

But that was the open face of repression against the population, which was spread throughout the sensationalist mass media that played a shameful role before during and after the 2010 G20 Summit, being one of the principle collaborators in handing in visual material and statements to the police for identification.

However, the selective persecution was not broadcasted or photographed. The arbitrary arrests in the middle of the night, alone on the streets, the premeditated arrests made before and after the Summit were well planned and not a single camera could capture the evidence of abuse and violation of human rights. The immense operatives that were extended well into September 2010 (and even today) used these same terror tactics, made with cold and calculated premeditation, where police officials continue to investigate until the last bit of breath and thought is mapped out of those who do not agree with their authority.

When State terror is implemented, it is deaf, blind and silent. Its only task is to attack its internal enemy: the population. They are all enemies, those of us who come from the South would know all too well. We know the sinister face of repression that imprisoned, tortured, murdered and disappeared thousands of people in our countries with military investiture.

Here in Toronto, we believe the repression and actions that occurred during June 2010 have been minimalized, where the daily presence of police brutality does not change in affected communities, essentially having the G20 Summit happen every day. This is true and clearly evident for many. However, we believe it is not ever day that slaves rise up and break with the established order, as what happened three years ago. There could be protests to raise the standard of living, to increase the basic necessities of hungry communities, reformist measures, and sporadic squats.  However the work and organization of resistance is always within a legal framework, of endless asking for scraps when protesting for goods. These types of politics entangles us in a vicious circle, do not amount to anything, only help us grease our chains as slaves and never struggle to actually break them.

Today, three years have passed during which repression, selective persecution, harassment, imprisonment, the mocking surveillance at our door steps, the pursuits substantially have not varied. The criminalization continues to as brutal, if not more specialized, than yesterday. The current tactics of the oppressors have varied in their specialization in execution. Mass arrests have been made more common as with the raids and irrational fines.

But as we have stated before, it has been proven that despite all their millions of dollars they used in security and surveillance, despite their fences, their infiltrators and collaborators, they could not stop the reaction of the movement that hit the streets and defied their authority. That defiance was seen across the world, and no doubt was seen here as well. Those that speak from experience know that when governments lose control, they always take out their guardian dogs to exercise terror and maintain their regime of misery and exploitation. Nonetheless,  it is well known that while there is misery, there will always be rebellion.

3ro Aniversario del G20 en Toronto: Mientras Haya Miseria Siempre Habrá Rebelión

Han pasado 3 años del terrorismo de estado que genero la reunión del G20 en Toronto, y aun se siente el olor y el color mal oliente de la militarización de la ciudad.

Aun resuenan las alarmas de la policía, arrinconando a gente común y silvestre. Civilidad como le llaman los respetuosos de la monarquía  seudo – democrática canadiense.

Esto lo hicieron a vista y paciencia de todos. Había que dar una respuesta a aquellos que se atrevieron  a desafiar la autoridad, su jurisdicción y se pasaron por la raja sus leyes. Era algo que no se podía permitir en una  maqueta de sociedad diseñada  para decir solo “I’m Sorry.”

Por lo que como siempre ocurre en estos casos, salieron los valientes soldados a agredir con su autoridad alcohólica a cuanta persona se encontraron por la calle. Jóvenes y viejos, mujeres y niños hasta los animales recibieron su cuota represiva esos días…

Pero  esa fue la cara legal de la represión en contra de la población, que fue propagada y difundida en forma sensacionalista por la prensa, radio y televisión, que jugó un papel vergonzoso antes durante y después  de la reunión de junio del 2010 siendo los principales colaboradores en entregar material visual, declaraciones (etc.) a la policía para identificación de personas.

Pero el terrorismo selectivo no lo mostraron, no lo fotografiaron. Las detenciones arbitrarias en el medio de la noche, en las calles solitarias; esas detenciones que se lograron y se hicieron antes con alevosía y después de los días de la reunión del G20, esas que eran planificadas. Esas se hacían sin cámaras y sin posibles testigos para no tener pruebas del abuso y violación a los derechos humanos.

Los inmensos operativos que se extendieron hasta Septiembre del 2010 (y hasta el día de hoy), utilizando las mismas tácticas del terror del inicio. Esas las hicieron con fría y calculada alevosía, y aun continúan investigando hasta querer conocer lo que se respira y piensa todo aquel que no está de acuerdo con su estrategia de poder.

El terrorismo de estado cuando se implementa, es ciego, sordo y mudo. Su único deber es atacar a su enemigo interno: la población. Todos son enemigos, si bien lo sabemos nosotros los que venimos del Sur de nuestro continente.

Conocemos la cara siniestra de la represión, que con investidura militar no solo encarcelo, torturo, asesino e hizo desaparecer a miles de personas en nuestros países.

Aquí en Toronto nosotras pensamos, que se ha minimizado bastante la represión y el escenario político y de acción que hubo en Junio del 2010, y uno de los elementos que se da es que la   presencia cotidiana de la policía no cambia y que hay G20 todos los días. Si es una verdad clara y evidente.

Pero nosotras pensamos que también no todos los días los esclavos se levantan y rompen con el orden establecido, como sucedió para el G20 hace tres años. Todos los días o semanas pueden haber protestas por elevar el estándar de vida, para aumentar la canasta básica de las comunidades hambrientas,  reivindicativas, tomas esporádicas. Pero más bien se trabaja y se organiza resistencia dentro de un marco legal. De un petitorio eterno y  crónico de pedir, y  pedir y cuando se protesta es para que nos aumenten las migajas de una canasta  básica. Este tipo de políticas que se viene dando en un círculo vicioso, no beneficia a nadie. Solo es una forma de engrasar las cadenas de los esclavos  y nunca luchar por romperlas.

Hoy han pasado tres anos, durante los cuales, la represión, la persecución selectiva, el amedrentamiento, el encarcelamiento, la burla grosera de verlos haciendo guardia  en nuestros hogares, los seguimientos sustancialmente no ha variado. La criminalización de la protesta, fue y sigue siendo, más brutal incluso más especializada que ayer. Las tácticas actuales de los represores han ido variando y han especializado su ejecución. Los arrestos en masa se están haciendo cada vez más evidentes como asimismo los allanamientos y las multas irracionales.

Pero si bien decíamos ayer y se probo que con todos sus millones que utilizaron, con toda su seguridad, con todas sus rejas sus infiltrados  y colaboradores, pese a todo no pudieron impedir la reacción normal del movimiento que se volcó a las calles y dijo un rotundo ¡NO! Y ese “NO” se vio en todo el mundo… Y  no cabe duda que también lo sintieran aquí. Se sabe por la experiencia en nuestro continente, que cuando a los gobiernos les tiembla el culo, siempre sacan a sus perros guardianes para ejercer el terror y resguardar su régimen  de miseria y de explotación. Pero científicamente está probado, que mientras haya miseria siempre habrá rebelión.
