This Wednesday morning a second Mapuche was arrested after the fire that destroyed the house of usurper Werner Luchsinger (whom died in the fire together with his wife) in the Estate of Palihue, within the context of the Mapuche hunt carried out by the Chilean police forces in Mapuche Territory.
During the 6AM violent raid, police arrested José Córdoba, the brother of Machi Ceferino Còrdova [the first accused in the arson case] in Yeupeko, Vilcun. First reports indicate that the Brother was submitted to brutal torture in order to inform the names of other Peñi [Brothers] that would compose the list of alleged suspects for Chilean Intelligence.
Due to the fact that the Mapuche community member is being charged under the Antiterrorist Law, his arrest was exempt from proper detention controls, being immediately transferred to the Penetentiary Centre of Temuco. Formal charges will be laid in Court this Friday, together with his brother.
