Mapuche Prisoners in Temuco suspend Dry Hunger Strike; Angol Prisoners Continue Hunger Strike

After Gendarmerie promised their prompt transfer from Temuco Prison to that of Angol, the 5 Mapuche Political Prisoners have decided to suspend their dry hunger strike.
It was the main demand made by Leonardo Quijon, Cristian Levinao, Guido Bahamondes, Fernando Millacheo and Luis Marileo in order to postpone their mobilization, where the National Gendarmerie Directive stubbornly agreed to their transfer so they may be close to their families, all of which reside in communities within the area of Ercilla.
The spokesperson of the Mapuche youth, Freddy Marileo, stated that if the agreement is not met by the prison institution by this Thursday, the 5 Mapuche Political Prisoners will re-initiate their dry hunger strike, which has meant a total loss of weight of approximately 10 kg on average, as well as the many physical consequences which are difficultly recovered.
Meanwhile, in Angol prison 4 Mapuche Political Prisoners continue their hunger strike now ion its 58th day. Two of which, Eric Montoya and Paulino Levipan, were transferred to the city hospital after a series of health complications.
